Please forgive me for not blogging all week! We have barely been home any and relaxing, well that's not in my vocabulary! We finally met your cousin Elise from Italy last week and we have been spending a LOT of time with her. We even had Santa go to Noni and Papas this year so we could enjoy her first Christmas morning together.
You my love are so sweet and loving and hug and kiss everyone in site. I adore you and am really enjoying my vacation spent with you and daddy. Here are a couple pics, more to come once I download them!

You are sick today with a head cold so I kept you home from school. Even when sick, you dance, sing and entertain all the time. You are so silly. Your newest thing is when putting you to sleep you like to hit my face and laugh. I try not to laugh with you because hitting is not nice but it is funny. You are also fighting going to bed so much that you talk as you first fall asleep and sign "more". Too cute. I love you and hope you feel better tomorrow!

First haircut

You did great in the big boy car and did not cry one bit! Although you did glare at the hairdresser once or twice to warn her you were not happy with what she was doing!

It is so important to carry yourself in a way that displays you are a Christ-follower. I have never been an in-your-face type of Christ follower but I do my best to love others and treat them with respect. Through my actions it is clear that I am a believer and can encourage others though my actions as well.

This verse is so powerful! If you never have the desire to memorize any scripture ... At least memorize this. Think about it - I love you more than life itself and would do ANYTHING to protect you from any pain, harm or sadness. God loved his son that much - and he gave Him up so YOU and I will have everlasting life. oh my word, I can't imagine giving you up for anything... And he did that for us. Wow. Remember that in all that you do, God loves you SO much (and so do I) xoxo

As you may have guessed ... My favorite book is the book of Titus. The message is so pure at heart encouraging you to teach others and be a Christ-like example.

6 Similarly, encourage the young men to be self-controlled. 7 In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness 8 and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us.

This verse is so powerful and I need to be reminded to carry myself as an example to others. I have some growing to do and I am going to start in our home.

Well son, I've saved the best for last. Not just today, but everyday I am thankful the Jesus is my Lord and Savior. Without Him I am nothing. I am so blessed to have found Him when I did and will be forever grateful for the price He paid so that you and I can be free. Today was such a fun day! I was off work and you and I spent the day playing and having fun! In the morning we played outside with sidewalk chalk - you had a blast! Then you took a 2 1/2 hour nap - you were so sweet and peaceful I just stated at you for about an hour ... Then I took a nice nap with you! After that we played some more, read a LOT of books and baked a cinnamon cake for breakfast - you had so much fun stirring the batter! I love one on one time with you sweet boy! You make all the problems and stressors in my world fade. I love you!

I am so thankful that I pressed forward and continued my education to receive my Bachelors degree. My prayer for you is that you choose to go to college right after high school ... I waited until I was older and although it was beneficial, I feel I lost out on some big experiences by waiting. Anyways -for today education has prepared me to be confident in meetings with Leadership to not only speak my opinion and add value to discussion but also gain a level of respect from others.

Celebration of Life

Daddy and I attended a funeral today of one of Daddy's best friends father - Mr. Bob Powell (Keith's dad). It was such a beautiful celebration of life - I never had the privilege of meeting Mr. Powell, but the kind words and love poured over him today really displayed that he was a kind and amazing man of God. I can only hope that when I am called home to the Lord that I am loved and honored by family and friends and it will be said of me like I heard today - "Those of you that knew Mr. Powell thought he was a great man - He was better than that." Today I am thankful for the realization that life is short - I need to start living my life in a way that people will remember what a great woman of God I am - full of love, kindness and poise ... I have some work to do, but I am starting today. I love you.

Titus - today is a Monday at its best - and I am searching for things to be thankful for! It started with you being extremely clingy this morning and upset just because I got out of bed - I was finally able to distract you with cartoons and cherrios so I could get dressed for work ... then you were upset when I left you at school - which you haven't done in quite a while. Once I finally made it to work, there were issues here that made me just want to turn around and start over. SO - all that to say, today I am thankful for the weekends! I love the much needed break where I can relax with you and daddy and do as I please. We have so much fun hanging out and spending time together - every Monday I start the count down to Friday at 5:00 when I can spend the next weekend with you again. I love you!

For the month of November - I want to let you know, daily, how thankful I am for all the blessings I have in my life. Sorry I am starting a day late - we have had a rough week. You came home with the stomach flu on Thursday and were so sick until yesterday. Daddy and I were sick as well ... It was no fun at all.

Nov 1 - I am thankful for my dad (your Papa). He is the most compassionate and loving man that I have ever met and would do anything for anyone. He is a true example of a God-fearing man that loves the Lord and adores his family. I am so blessed to have him as my father, and you just love him so much!

Nov 2 - I am thankful for the 10 years I had to spend with Rocky Dog. He was such a sweet dog and you loved to pet him. Although he would growl at you, your love for him never changed - you still got so excited to see him. He died on Monday, October 31. He was in a lot of pain and had cancer in his spleen. His kidneys failed and he was so tired. It is so hard walking around the house and not seeing him - you even called Da (dog) a few times yesterday wondering where he was. I will miss him so much - but forever grateful for the sweet time I had to spend with him.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch on a play date with Sevyn, Rok, Arianna and Aiden. You had so much fun walking around trying to pick up pumpkins bigger than you! We went on a hay ride, walked through a maze and explored all the pumpkins! I didn't get any pictures of you and your friends because you were too busy to keep still ... But I did get a couple cute ones of you - mamas little pumpkin!

3 Year Anniversary

Today Daddy and I celebrated our three year wedding anniversary. It was such a fun and special day! since we haven't had a date since you were born - I took the day off work and we made it happen!

First we woke up bright and early with you, our little alarm clock! We made you breakfast, played and then off to school you went.

We started our date at the gun range. I have been asking to learn to shoot all the guns in the house for a while ... So today was the day. We went to the Garland Public Shooting Range and fired away. Your Daddy could be on Top Sot he is so good ... Me on the other hand - let's just say I could injure someone but it may be a knee cap or foot. I will let you figure out which target is mine.

Next we had a fast lunch - sushi was on the menu - our favorite ... And then headed to a movie! We saw Courageous. Titus - I highly encourage when you become a dad yourself that you look this up and watch it. It was probably one of the most life changing, moving movies we have ever seen. We could relate to the story line, we laughed, we cried, we laughed again, and cried again ... But left changed forever.

We ended our day by picking you up a little early and spending some extra time with you. We made breakfast for dinner "Brinner" and then went on a long walk around the neighborhood.

For gifts - year 3 is traditionally the leather anniversary - so Daddy surprised me with a new iPad ... With a Leather case (that I will pick out soon) and I bought Daddy a new pair of RayBan sunglasses in a leather case.

What a blessing it was spending the day with Dad. I love him more than I will ever be able to explain - but hopefully my actions will show that to you.

Happy Birthday Titus!

Dear Titus,

I can't believe it - you are ONE! This year has flown by so fast! You are no longer a baby, you are a full blown Toddler! You are walking around like you own the place (which you do!) and you are getting into everything your sweet little hands can carry!

Before your birthday we spent quite a few months (5 actually) sick with ear infections. We finally decided we had to get tubes in your ears so you would feel better. Your surgery was on August 30 which was such a stressful day for me and daddy. You were put under anesthisia - but lucky for us, it was a 6 minute procedure. You haven't been sick since -Praise the Lord!

In that 5 month span, our good little sleeper went from sleeping through the night in your own bed to tossing and turning through the night in our bed! Now that you are healthy - we are working on getting you back in your room and sleeping through the night.

You moved from the Blueberry (infant) room at school to the Cherry room right before your birthday! You LOVE your new class and especially your sweet teacher Ms. Christy. You do fun activities outside, play on a slide, read books, sleep on a nap mat and even eat at a big boy table with all your friends. You can wash your hands all by yourself!

At home some of your favorite things to do are take long walks in your tricycle, ride mountain bikes with daddy, dance!, chase Rocky and daddy around the house and play catch. You are so much fun at this stage - I love it so much. You are always smiling with the biggest dimples ever and talk all of the time.

Your favorite words - Dada, Dog, uh-oh and Hi.

Your birthday was a big hit! All of your friends came out to Edge Field to celebrate you baseball style! We had hot dogs, nachos, soft pretzels, popcorn and snacks. You were a little overwhelmed at your party with so many people at our house so you decided to hide behind your favorite guy (Papa) most of the time and then take a nap right in the middle of the party :) we had round ii the following day to also celebrate Papas 60th and cousin Jimmys 16th birthdays. During that party you had a little more rest so you entertained the crowds and ate your cake.

What a JOY life has been since you have arrived. I still refer to you as a newborn, but you are so big and changing so much! It seems like yesterday that you were born, but it has been 9 short months! I cant believe it! You keep everyday so exciting and new for us and have made us happier than we could ever imagine!

Weight: 19 lbs 7 1/2 oz - 31st percentile

Head Circumfrance: 19" - 98th percentile (Whoa! Full of Good Information in there!)

You LOVE to feed yourself - you get your own spoon and will eat just about anything we put infront of you!

You LOVE balls - you are pretty good with the basketball game you have as well as tossing the big round ball back and forth

You LOVE your school. You are the biggest kiddo in class and apparently have lots of followers. Your best friend is Tai Chi - the two of you boys get into everything you can and have started your own little language

You LOVE to sleep in Mommy and Daddy's bed when we let you - usually just when you are sick

You have had 2 ear infections, which makes mommy really sad - I wish I could fix them for you. You have allergies, so need to take Zyrtec everyday (already!)

You really enjoy being in the swimming pool or bath tub - water is fun for you

You like to drink out of a regular cup rather than your sippy cup - mommy and daddys water bottles work fine too

Titus, you are EVERYTHING to us and we are thankful each day for the priveledge of being your parents. You are growing up so fast, but your personality is shining through and its awesome! We LOVE being your parents!

(especially in your diapers!). You were pretty mad when you got your shots - it breaks my heart to put you through that- but no more until you are ONE!

Boy we have been busy! The weather is finally nicer and we have been taking advantage it - we love nice long walks around the neighborhood together ...

We had a wonderful Valentines day together ... I love having TWO boys that love me so much!!

You can situp all by yourself now and EVERYTHING goes into your mouth ... Including your feet!

At 23 weeks your first tooth popped out! (I'm still working on that picture)

You had your first day at the Healthy Beginnings Montessori House last week! You are in the Blueberry room and Aunt Alberta is your teacher! Kasia is also in the room to play with you during the week! You did awesome your first day - even took a nap in your new crib! This week you will go everyday ... I hope you feel safe, loved and secure baby - there is no place I'd rather you be than in Aunt Alberta's care (other than home with me!) I can't wait to see how much you learn! You are the biggest boy in your class (but not the youngest) ... You have grown so much eating all your fruits and vegetables! You have even tried chicken now! I started cooking you baby food this week - I sure hope you like it!

Happy five month birthday my love!!

I am trying to post more often so your monthly birthday posts will not be such novels. Here are a couple new things you LOVE at FIVE big months!

My friend Tammy told me about this cool app for my phone - Project 365. I can load a picture for everyday! Ok maybe it's obsessive, but I am still having fun with it! I only wish I would have known about it the day Titus was born!

Here is the month of January 2011!

So many things happened! Titus turned four months old, he spends his days with his Daddy now that I am back in the office. he can lift his head up, roll over, sit up, eat cereal, green beans, squash, peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, bananas and apples so far. He took a solid poop :) something I'm sure he will be happy I announced! and best of all he is such a happy boy in perfect health!

My HEART is WHOLE!

Dear Titus,

Today was a GLORIOUS day where I was reminded of the GRACIOUS and LOVING nature of our precious Lord.

On our first sonogram, we found out there was a little spot on your heart (echogenic foci spot). Our doctor gave us comfort that it is common (one in one hundred or so pregnancies show this) and offered the ability to follow up with a specialist to do advanced testing to see if you were going to be one of the cases that results in a disability. Daddy and I prayed, and decided our Lord was bigger than this spot, we declined any testing and left your precious heart in the hands of the Greatest Physician, Jesus Christ.

Each sonogram, that pesky little spot remained the same, no bigger, no smaller ... just a reminder that we needed to be faithful to our Lord and continue to pray.

Today, at 19 weeks old, we were sent to a pediatric cardiologist to check the status of your heart ... you received an EKG where you laughed and wiggled until the little sticky tags fell off and then an echocardiogram where we looked at your heart, and you tried to eat the ultrasound camera. Needless to say - you were such a good sport and your little heart is as PERFECT as you are!!! The spot indeed was just a echogenic foci spot which is considered a calcium deposit and it has gone away.

Son, remember to always give all of your worries to the Lord - He will ALWAYS answer your prayers. Sometimes you have to wait for His response ... Sometimes you wont like what He has to say, but He is ALWAYS faithful.

I love you Titus! Thank you for blessing me each and every day and helping me to remember how grateful I am for a Father that loves us unconditionally.

1/11/11 was such a fun day! You tried cereal for the very first time! You weren't too sure about it at first, but I think that is because I was going too slow ... once Daddy tried you started to really enjoy it! He sure knows how to scoop it in fast!

Saturday you get Oatmeal, then onto the good stuff ... Vegetables! The question is ... Will I cook them or buy them? Hmmm ... TBD

FOUR Months!

I can't believe you are FOUR months old already! Time is going by so fast and you are changing so quickly! You are getting so strong now, you can hold your head up without bobbling around and can push yourself up from your tummy. You drool constantly, seems like I change your bib every hour! You are for sure getting some teeth, but none have poked through yet.

Your first Christmas was great!! We spent lots of time with family and friends celebrating the birthday of our precious savior Jesus Christ! You sure make an extra cute baby Santa!

We did a photo shoot with Sofia and Eva so we could give Christmas presents to the family ... it did not go as planned, but probably never will :) I had fun watching it go down!

My 1st day back at work

Well my love, today was my first day back into the office after almost FOUR glorious months home with you. It was very hard to leave you today, but I survived and hear that it will get easier every day. Daddy says you did good today - you are such a big boy!

I sure missed you sweet boy, but coming home and seeing your sweet smile and precious laugh made me forget I was even gone. I love you so much!!

THREE months!

Dear Titus,

I can't believe three months have passed, but cant remember what life was like without you here! You have truly blessed our lives in so many ways I cannot even explain.

You are such an angel. You now weigh 12.2 lbs and sleep through the night. Our routine starts around 8 pm with a nice warm bath. We watch Baby Einstein, which you just love, play with Daddy for a few minutes and go to your room where you talk to the wall mural and smile at me for a few minutes while I pray for us ... then you eat and I rock you to sleep! Usually you are asleep before 10:00 and wake up around 7:00 for breakfast and go right back to sleep! I love our special time together each night so much!

Here are some of the fun things about YOU at THREE months:

You LOVE to talk, laugh and smile all the time ... especially right after your naps

You LOVE your time in the mornings with your mobile in your crib - you stare and talk to the jungle animals for about 20 minutes

You can now sit up in your Bumbo for a few minutes without slumping over to the side (we need to get you on your tummy more so your neck will get stronger)

You are beginning to like your carseat a little more now - usually you are asleep within 5 0r 10 minutes of getting in there ... this makes for a much less stressful commute anywhere we go!

On your 3 month birthday - we participated in Christmas Journey at our church where Dad was Joseph, I was Mary and you were Baby Jesus in the manger. We had lots of fun out there and blessed so many families as they drove through

We celebrated your first Thanksgiving at Aunt Liz's house this year. You helped me cook a 27 lb turkey for the entire family and were such a good boy all day and night!

Titus, I love you so much and am so excited for next month - your first CHRISTmas celebration!

TWO Months!

Dear Titus,

You are growing up so fast! People told me this would happen, but I am amazed to see just how quickly time is passing by! I enjoyed every moment of my maternity leave at home with you. I wish I could stay on leave forever, but I went back to work TWO days before your TWO month birthday :( I started working from home, and even though I am just a few rooms away - leaving you has been the hardest thing I have ever had to do. My first day, I cried a lot, and so did you ... but eventually we will grow to like this routine (so they say) ~ I will keep you posted on that.

You are long and lean and growing FAST! Your TWO month check-up went perfect, you were not a big fan of the shots, but mama knows how to calm you down so you were just fine after a few minutes. Later in the day you screamed for 2 hours as if you were reliving your shots - Tylenol made you feel much better, and very sleepy the rest of the day.

Here are some things we have done during your SECOND month at home...

You found your voice and talk to me all the time - You are very alert now and focus on everything mommy and daddy say - you watch our mouths when we talk and love to talk along with us - you especially like to sing along to your ABCs.

You found your smile and it melts my heart (you have 2 huge dimples!)

We visited to Dallas Arboretum pumpkin village

You LOVE your baby sling - you nearly go into a coma sleeping up against me
You lost your hair, but just in the front - you looked like an old man and your Aunt Liz called you Elmer Fudd ... It grew back in pretty quick ;)
You were a sweet Blue Bear for Halloween, but we did not dress you up for the party because your outfit was too hot!

You love to make funny faces :)

I was finally brave enough to take you out of the house on my own! We have been cruising around town together

You're FINALLY here!

Dear Titus

On September 10, 2010, we scheduled to go into Medical Center of Plano
to try to turn you from the breech position and induce labor. I did
not sleep a wink the night before, and could not eat after 10pm so I
was tired and hungry for our 5:30am arrival at the hospital. We got
all set up with monitors and found that I was having contractions 8
minutes apart and did not even know it! Perhaps you would have come on
your own within the next few days?!? I had an epidural and around 7:30
the Dr's came in and manually tried to turn you in my belly. You were
so comfortable with your legs fully extended and would not budge, so
rather than risk your health - we moved to the OR and proceeded with a
c-section.

At 8:23 am, my whole life made sense. You were pulled out into the
world buns first and  what seemed like hours, but was truly only
seconds you gasped your first breath and began to cry.  Titus, the
sound of your little cry completed my existence. The doctor showed you
to me over the curtain and I could not wait to hold you! You were 6
lbs 12 oz, 20 1/4 inches long with   Big blue eyes, long, strong legs
and arms - big hands and feet, and 2 dimples in your cheeks that are
just adorable. You are in perfect health and just an angel. Soon after
you were cleaned up, while Daddy watched and videoed, they finally
allowed me to hold and feed you for the first time. Words cannot
express how this feels - I can only explain it as the best gift God
could have ever given anyone. I am so grateful that I was chosen to be
your mom and am so excited for all the fun experiences we are going to
have together!

Just a few minutes old ...

We stayed in the hospital 4 nights, where Daddy and I got use to
holding, comforting and feeding you while I regained some strength and
healed up a bit from surgery. You had so many visitors that had
anxiously awaited your arrival! So many people love you my dear ...
Especially me and daddy!

When we were released from the hospital, you weighed 6 lbs 3 oz and we
had some serious gaining to do! As soon as we got home, introduced you
to Rocky and got settled, the eating began! Little man, you eat all
the time! It's such a great bonding experience for me and I'm so happy
my body is providing you with the nourishment you need to grow.

Daddy takes great care of both of us! He has been cooking, cleaning,
doing laundry, changing diapers and anything else we need to be
comfortable. I loved him with all my heart before you were here - but
your existence has drawn our love so much stronger. We are committed
to God, each other and you for the rest of our lives my love. That is
a promise.

We visited the doctor 2 days after we left the hospital and you had
already gained 3 oz back .. 6lbs 6 oz means you are healthy and loving
being home.

You sleep a bunch, your favorite place to nap is laying right on my
chest in the same position you were in, in my belly. I never want to
put you down!

Your first bath - you HATED it!

Your favorite place to sleep

You are 2 weeks old now, time is passing too quickly! You already look
different, I can tell the different sounds of your cries and you still
eat more than any child I have ever known! Your 2 week appointment
went well! You grew 3/4 inches, now 21 inches long and you gained 11
BIG oz now 7 lbs 1 oz! Like I said, you love to eat! The Dr says you
are very healthy and we should keep doing exactly what we are doing!

Another week has gone by and you are getting so big! You are way more
alert now, and like eating every 2-3 hours. That makes for a very
sleepy mommy and daddy, but we are surviving! We went on our first
walk around the neighborhood in your stroller, you cried the majority
of the time but someday you will like it, I'm sure. You still sleep
best laying on mamas chest ... And I am enjoying every moment of it.
We will work on a schedule soon - for now we are having fun doing
whatever we want. Daddy and I are trying to get some good photos of
you, but you wake up every time we try ... We won't give up!

Titus, I love you so much and never imagined how much life would
change once you arrived ... You, my love, have already made our lives
so much better and I can't even remember what life was like without you.

The Day Before Your BIRTHDAY!!!

Hello my little angel,

It is September 9, 2010 - the day before your Birthday! I am so excited this day has finally come!! This afternoon I am going to get a haircut, pedicure and my eyebrows waxed so I look nice and pretty for your big arrival (or maybe because I know it will be a looong time before I can slip away to pamper myself again) :)! Tomorrow morning Daddy and I will head to the hospital for our 5:30 check-in. I will be admitted, we will take one last look to see if you decided to somersault and if not, I get an IV and Epidural to try to turn you. The doctors will be there at 7:30 and we will try to manually turn you around. When that works (because mama has BIG faith that you will cooperate) we will then induce labor and wait for you! You will have to be monitored so we can see if you are under any stress - if so, we will have a c-section and meet you right away!

I cant wait to hold you in my arms and witness your Daddy hold you for the first time tomorrow! I also cant wait to introduce you to all of your Aunts and Uncles and friends ... and especially Granny and Nanny and Papa - Its Papa's birthday tomorrow too ... possibly the best gift anyone ever gave him for his birthday :)

Week 38!

Hello Titus,

Well baby, we have come to just one week left and you will be in my arms! I can't wait!!! You are still breech (stubborn little guy), so I am not sure if you are trying to tell me you are not ready or if there is something else going on. I have high hopes that it is just you being comfortable. You move all the time, so I think everything is ok and each Doctor's appointment your heart rate and size are normal so you are healthy ... just pointing in the wrong direction. Our chiropractor appointments to turn you have been going well, each time you move a bunch like you want to turn, you just havent made full rotation yet! Usually they say it takes 4-6 adjustments ... but after our 4th adjustment last week, we were in ANOTHER little fender bender, so the 4 adjustments we had started over. That was a scary day, the fender bender was not bad, but sure did scare me alot. I was a passenger this time. Afterwards we had to go to the doctor and get hooked up to a fetal monitor for about 45 minutes to make sure you were ok. You were just perfect - thank the Lord! Now we are on adjustment number 3 and should be able to get in a couple more ... so hopefully you will turn on your own. If you do not, we are scheduled on September 10th (Papa's birthday) to go in and the doctors will try to turn you and deliver. So, its up to you big guy - you have until next Friday to make your move on your terms :) otherwise mama's taking over and we will see you on Friday, September 10th! Either way is fine by me, I just want you healthy and in my arms!

Week 37! Your Birthday Update!

Well my love, we are in the home stretch! Only 3 weeks (or less) and you will be here! As of our last doctors appointment, you are still very comfortable in your breech position. I am still confident you will turn before its time, but I am planning to help you in the event that you need it! First, we are going to a chiropractor to try a technique called the Webster's Method. This method properly aligns my pelvis and spine so that it is ideal conditions for you to drop and turn. There is an 80% success rate that this will happen and we were recommended to a really sweet chiropractor.

If the Webster's Method does not work (which I believe it will), we have the option at 39 weeks to try to turn you manually. We would have to go to the hospital, get an epidural, and our doctor would then try to manually turn you. We would then be induced so that you are not under any stress from the turning.

So there are the options my love, last but not ideal, if you decide you want to stay breech, we will deliver by c-section. My main goal is that you are healthy and stress free on your birthday - so my prayer is that my body is ready for however you are to enter this world.

Your recent sonogram showed that you are going to be a BIG boy! They say sonograms this late in a pregnancy leave a lot of room for error - so maybe you arent as big as they say yet! (wishful thinking).

Weight: 6.9 lbs
Height: 19 inches

With that being said - you are on track to be an 8 lb baby about 21 inches long and I cant wait to hold you!

I am dialated 1 cm and efaced 50%, so making progress towards your big debut!

Sweet boy, I love you with all my heart and can not wait to meet you! However you decide you want to enter this world will be just fine with me!

Week 36!

Hello angel,

What a busy couple of weeks! We had a baby shower hosted by your Aunt Elizabeth, Marie Catherine and dear friends Mendi, Tammy and Jenny. All of mama's dearest friends showed up and showered you, once again, with wonderful gifts that you will need when you arrive. We played fun games, ate great food and cake and opened all of your great things! I cant wait until you are here so I can put you in all of your cool new clothes and introduce you to all these wonderful ladies that have been so thoughtful to us. I am truly blessed with such wonderful women that love me dearly. They are just going to adore you!

We are now at the end of 36 weeks. Last we checked, you are still breech, but you seem to have dropped some. This week we start our weekly appointments so we will find out Wednesday if you have turned or not. I sure hope so! I am ready to see you little man! Sleeping is getting a little more uncomfortable, and it has been over 100 degrees here for more than 13 days in a row (and the weather man is not giving much hope that it will stop anytime soon). I have been staying inside a lot, but it has given me time to get your room all set for your arrival.

You are now the size of a watermelon! My goodness you are a big boy - it seems like yesterday you were just the size of a green grape!! You are almost considered full term and spend your days practicing sucking, breathing, blinking and moving. When I say moving, baby - you move all day and night! You found a nice little spot under my ribs, but so far you haven't hurt me too bad! My body contorts into all kinds of weird, lopsided shapes when you start changing positions. It is very fun to watch. Daddy constantly gets you all excited just by talking - you love the sound of his voice and make sure he knows it when he talks to you!

This weekend we are nesting! We have a couple important things to get done around the house and then we are going to the baby store to get some last minute items for you. I am even going to pack my hospital bag just in case you decide you want to make your grand entrance a little early.

I am so anxious to see you my love, keep practicing and growing strong! Turn baby, Turn!

Week 33 and Your New Room!

Dear Titus,

Hello son! I know, you must be sad I have taken so long to write - but mama has been busy! We have officially completed your bedroom, we are done with almost all of our childbirth classes, have had a couple showers, maternity photos and now visit the doctor every two weeks! Life has been busy busy busy ... but you are constantly on my mind (and kicking my belly)!

You are probably around 19 inches long now and should weigh about 4 lbs ... they say you still can double in weight before you officially arrive ... but I have high hopes you will be 6-7 lbs. Selfish, I know. I really want to try to have you naturally, so you better turn soon buddy - you are still very comfortable in your breech positions, resting your head on my ribs.

You have reached a very important milestone now - your immune system is strong enough to protect you from mild infections! You now take up more space than there is amniotic fluid so you feel totally different than you did just a couple short weeks ago. You still kick around a lot, but its more nudges and movement that I can visualize rather than playing the guessing game on if you will be good at soccer with those kicks or baseball/boxing with those fists. I can honestly say I have enjoyed every stage of this pregnancy - there are definitely things I could do without, such as the heartburn that keeps me up at night, but I wouldn't trade it for the world.

We had a shower at my work the other day. Titus you are so loved and I am so lucky to work with such wonderful, giving people that truly make my heart smile. My dear friend Elizabeth and Amber planned a beautiful shower with snacks, cupcakes, games, roses, diapers, presents and tons of friends! I was overwhelmed with the turn-out and overjoyed that Daddy came to celebrate with us. I cant wait to take you up to my job to meet all of these wonderful people that showered you with such love and kindness.

Childbirth class, New Born Baby Care class, Breastfeeding class and our upcoming Infant CPR and Safety class have consumed our Saturday mornings for the month of July. We are now well equipped with all we need to know on how to prepare for your arrival and who to call when you get here and we don't know what to do!

Last but not least for this post, as promised, pictures of your nursery. Daddy worked so hard painting, custom building and hanging shelves, hanging beautiful letters from my co-worker Kerry and putting together all your furniture. I supervised and washed all your clothes and organized all of your stuff preparing for you to get here! Oh and I did help hang your mural too! I sure hope you like it.

Look for our next post of maternity photos taken by your future girlfriends mama Mendi! She is so talented and I am so pleased with how well she captured such a special time in our lives.

Dear Titus,

Today we went and had a 3D sonogram session with you! When we first got there, you were super busy kicking, rolling and doing all kinds of acrobats ... but they were running behind so by the time you were on camera, you were done playing! Boy, you are funny! You refused to show us your entire face! You kept your legs and arms up in front of you the entire time and just gave us sneak peaks at what you will look like! You must just want to be a surprise, but I can still tell you are going to be extra handsome!

You opened your right eye for us! Are they brown or blue??

Week 28!

Dear Titus,

Mama has been so busy over the past 2 weeks! Work is very crazy right now, but soon enough I will have some time off to spend with you! I am so excited!!! Daddy and I have finally started on your bedroom. Daddy sanded down one of your walls and we put up your jungle mural. We picked up your bedroom furniture, returned it due to damages, and picked it up again in perfect condition (daddy was not happy - his back is hurting and that did not make it any better!) and now we are putting up the border in the remainder of the room. Daddy will have to paint all by himself after the border is done, the fumes are not good for you - so I will relax instead :). Once that is done, he will start building you bamboo shelves! They are going to be awesome and I'm certain you will have the best baby room any little guy could ask for!

Nonny, Papa, Uncle Joe, Aunt Liz, Aunt Sarah and Uncle Casey threw us a family baby shower last weekend. There are so many people that love you sooo much little guy! They showered you will all kinds of gifts, gave some words of wisdom for new parents and were so thoughtful to me and daddy! We had a wonderful time and love them all very much!

We were able to see you again this week as well! I am happy to say, I passed my gestational diabetes test and my iron count is normal so everything is going good! You my dear, have me smiling already! You like to sit in a little ball, with your legs and arms up above your head! You constantly extend your legs to stretch, but immediately pull your legs right back to your chest! It was so fun to watch you and your acrobats ... I have been wondering what is going on in there! You are currently breech - so please start thinking head down thoughts my love!!! You have a perfect set of 10 fingers and 10 toes ... you weigh 2.3 lbs and are currently 14 inches long! Your profile is already so handsome and you have a set of pouty lips on you that I cant wait to kiss!!!

This morning, on my way off to work, I was rear-ended. We are doing just fine, but I sure felt bad for the young guy who hit us! It was just an accident, but his car was not driveable. I am confident to say, our new car kept the two of us safe and sound and I was not hurt. I came back home to work for the day, doctors orders, but everything is good - and as usual, you have been a busy little bee all day long!

We go back to the doctor in 3 weeks now, and after that, we are onto every 2 weeks! We are getting closer to being in each others arms my love and I just cant wait!

Week 26!

Dear Titus,

What an amazing week! We celebrated 2 high school graduations! Your cousin Morgan Dutton graduated from Poteet High School and Lauren DeMartino graduated from Allen High School. We could not be more proud of their wonderful accomplishment. Titus, when you get into school - you will realize it is not always going to come easy, but perseverance does pay off. These ladies worked so hard and will continue onto college to build a better life for themselves and their families. I pray that you follow in their footsteps and continue onto higher education. James 1:12 Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

This past weekend was also Memorial Day! Memorial day is a special day dedicated to the remembrance of men and women that have died while serving our nation in the military. As the years have gone by, many people have forgotten the true meaning of the holiday and celebrate a day off of work to picnic with family and friends. As you get older, be sure to give remembrance to those who gave to this country so freely and with much courage. These soldiers are true heroes and one of the few current day examples of the selflessness that Christ showed when he gave up His life for your freedom. Always honor and respect those in the armed forces Titus - you had and have many family members that chose to selflessly serve and we salute each and every one of them. Daddy finished another semester at school today, I am SO proud of him! He is getting closer and closer to his degree and working so hard everyday to get the best grades. Week 25!

Dear Titus,

This has been a stressful week for mama! I may have been exposed to Fifth Disease, commonly found in preschools, and very unharmful for toddlers and adults ... but when it comes to you my love - it could cause some complications. So far, everything is good, my preliminary test results came back no exposure, but also no immunity ... so I have to now go back next week to retest.

The past couple weeks our Pastor has been preaching of Loosening Up and Letting Go of Worries. There is nothing of this world that I can control, but everything about YOU is HIS and I trust that He has a plan for you. Trying not to stress out about this has been hard, but the internet is my worst enemy when it comes to the "what-ifs". Good news is, even the internet says at the point in your development, chances are in your favor and you will be just fine if I were exposed.

Enough stress ... there have also been some exciting things the past couple weeks! Nany and Papa bought you a crib and dresser! I am so excited and just cant wait until daddy finishes his semester in school this week so we can start the transformation of your room!

We visited some friends this week, Trent and Cindy and little baby Emma. She is 2 weeks old now and I asked her to teach you a little bit about this big world outside of mamas belly as soon as you arrive! She is such a good girl and sooo beautiful! i just cant wait for you to meet her!

This weekend is Memorial Day weekend, so I will have Monday off work! Your cousins Morgan and Lauren are graduating from high school this weekend so we will be going to support and celebrate their wonderful accomplishment! We are also going to spend some time by the pool at a family picnic on Monday! I cant wait until we can teach you how to swim!

Sleeping is starting to become a little more uncomfortable now-a-days - my uterus is apparently the size of a basketball and you my love are over 2 lbs now! I experienced indigestion for the first time in my life for about 3 days this week ... but learned that if I eat vegetables and grilled chicken it stays away! Your hearing is really good now, so when I talk to you, you usually respond by a kick or sticking your butt through my tummy! I love feeling you move around and you are SO active all the time. I think you may sleep in 20 minute increments!

We hit a huge milestone this week - there are less than 100 days until you are in my arms! I love you more and more each and every day and can not wait to hold you!

Week 22

Dear Titus,

Hello sweet boy! I trust by the amount of movement I feel, you are doing well. This is by far my favorite part of pregnancy. You and I bond all day long. We are getting into quite a nice routine. We wake up bright and early, and dread getting out of bed. As soon as we get cleaned up and ready - we take the long haul to work. I pray for us aloud now so that you can hear me and then we worship the Lord by singing songs of praise. You like this part - you kick and move while I sing to you (or maybe you don't like it and just want me to stop singing, hmmm)?!? While I work, you sleep, but about 10 minutes after lunch you wake up and start movin and shakin letting me know you are full and happy. After a long days work, we really dislike our drive home - but look forward to seeing your daddy! He can feel you move now, so he gets to share in my excitement. We have dinner, I make excuses for not working out and we relax. You move a lot when we are at home, you must like it here ... and you must be getting use to Rocky's loud barking too. Your hearing is getting much better and your lungs are continuing to develop so you can breathe at ease! You are as big as an ear of corn and weigh a little more than 1 lb now. I, on the other hand, have gained 10!

Daddy and I have decided on how we will decorate your nursery. We are going to make you your very own jungle. Daddy is going to build you some shelves soon, we have a mural for the wall and we are going to pick out furniture soon. I am really excited to put your room together!

This weekend is my very first mothers day. I could not be more excited that I have been chosen to be your mom! Titus, you may never be able to understand how honored I am to be your mother. Although I have not seen you yet, I love you more than anything this world has to offer. I commit to you that I will do everything in my being to be sure you are happy, safe and loved.

Weighing in at: 9 ounces (not quite a heavy weight yet...but mama doesn't mind)

Healthy Heart Beating at: 160 beats per minute (Thanks to mama's blizzard on the way to the doc ... she says she wanted to be certain I was awake! Not sure I believe that!)

What I'm up to: Mostly just chillin', working on my stretching - I like my hands up by my face, I have long legs, and feet that are a little more than an inch long right now ... and I am not a modest boy because I had no shame showing my goods (Daddy will have to work on that over the next couple years)! All of my major organs are perfect!

When I grow up: Mom is convinced I will be a pitcher for the Yankees or a boxer- we now have proof that I have a strong right hook or fast ball!! Based on my position - what she thought were kicks were actually my heavy little hands!

Special Requests: Please pray for me as I continue to grow and practice my eating and breathing! Also, tell mama to start eating more vegetables - research shows that I can now tell the taste of the food mama eats - so if she wants me to eats peas and broccoli - she better get busy. We all know I already love pizza, blizzards, pickles, cherry lime-aides and turkey chilli!

I cant wait to meet all of you in September (or maybe August if mama is lucky and I am ready!)!

Week 17 and 18- its been an eventful one!

First things first ... I apologize for my tardiness, but that does not mean I have not been thinking of you. More importantly, you, my sweet angel are growing by leaps and bounds! You are getting so big! People are finally able to tell that I am pregnant now. oh and I have officially outgrown all of my pants!

You are topping out the size of a Mango right now! Week 17 your started to practice sucking - soon enough you will be eating as much as me! You also grew pads on your fingertips and toes that are now completely filled with personalized swirls and creases that are unique to only you! God loves you so much that he even took the time to create your very own fingerprints! Imagine that. Week 18 you started to yawn, oh I just cant wait to see your little mouth! You also mastered twists, rolls, kicks and punches (some of which I feel as I type right now!) Your nerves are now in place that allow for you to gain all of the senses of touch, taste, smell, sight and hearing ... and you can now hear sounds so I try to sing and talk to you a lot more now. Last but not least for this busy week - you have the skill of the hiccups!

Lots has gone on outside of your little world over the last couple weeks.

It started off a sad week for America. Health Care reform was passed. Our new President, Obama, will sign a new bill that was passed by 219 members of the House of Representatives. The bill is very long and filled with all kinds of surprises - some good, the majority - bad. The good, Americans with pre-existing conditions will not be denied health insurance and there will not be anyone dropped from insurance. It will also allow for many Americans that cant afford HealthCare to be covered. The bad - it will cost over a Trillion dollars, and our taxes will go up to pay for it. They also worked into the bill that money we are funding will be used to fund abortions. Now, our trusted President got his last couple votes by saying he would sign an executive order amending that part of the bill ... but that does not change the law. My dear child, I pray by the time this impacts you, that this bill will be overturned.

Next, we headed to Coronado, Ca for a little family vacation. Daddy drove with Papa in a Ryder truck to take your Aunt Sarah's furniture to California in preparation for her upcoming move to Sicily. I flew with Nani and Aunt Sarah ... and what an adventure that was! I didnt know it when I signed up for it - but the flight was a total of 6 hours in the plane - stopping in two touch-down points. Well, we made it to our last leg before you got annoyed. My stomach started cramping to the point where I thought I was having contractions. I could not stand up, was uncomfortable sitting down, and very frightened. Needless to say, I was dehydrated, my doctor confirmed it the next day - so I over hydrated on the way home and was just fine. Phew! We spent a wonderful week on the beach and all of the small, quaint little restaurants in Coronado and Downtown San Diego. Casey's ship came in on Friday and that was such an amazing experience. Watching a humongous naval ship come home while spouses, children and parents wait for their loved ones after 8 long months of deployment sent so many emotions through me. It was so awesome to see daddys meet their babies for the very first time, sailors propose to their girlfriends, parents and spouses running through the crowds to feel the embrace of their loved ones. It was just heartwarming and I loved every second of it. We were even able to tour the ship a couple of days later. WOW! This thing is huge, and I am not sure how anyone would be sane after sleeping in coffin-like cubby holes for months and months. The flight desk of the Nimitz is about 3 football fields long - such an enormous ship! I am so glad we were able to make it out there and spend the week with family and welcoming Casey home - we had such a great time! I even relaxed enough to read a great book The Scarlet Thread by Francine Rivers. If we find out you are a little girl, I will have it saved away for you to read someday ... its such a great book! On the last day of our trip, your sweet cousin Eva turned 2 years old and we came home to celebrate her!

The Easter season also came and went! On Good Friday, our church allows us to walk through the stations of the cross to really experience and understand the sacrifice that was made for us. That kicks off the weekend of prayer and solitude. Easter Sunday we spent the morning at church celebrating our resurrected Saviour and then the afternoon with my family. I can not wait to teach you all about Easter and what it means to us! One of the most beautiful love stories of all time.

You also started kicking around in my tummy! Finally, I can feel your precious little taps! I am certain they will get stronger as time goes on - but for now, I am just so happy to feel you moving around and getting comfy! You didnt move for me daily before - but now I can feel you each and every night - you rock me right to sleep :) and then wake me up 2-3 additional times through the night for a bathroom break - but thats ok! I have never been happier to get up from a deep sleep for anyone! Next Monday, the 19th we go back to the doctore for our BIG appointment. I can not wait to see you again! We will have a full sonogram to check out your progress, and hopefully have a sneak peak at your gender!

Daddy cleared out your room for me this weekend so we can start preparing for your new space! Nani came over and helped me clean the entire house, she is so sweet! and I spent all day Saturday going through my closet and dresser to get rid of the things I dont wear, and push aside the items that I will not be wearing until after you are in my arms! It was a lot of work, but I feel so accomplished and I am happy to have the energy to do things like that.

I love you sweet heart and cant wait to see you next week!

Week 16!

Hello,

This week you are the size of an avocado - 4.5 inches! Growing so fast, along with my belly! The last couple of weeks have been great, I have much more energy and I am not sick at all! I did have to make a trip to the store to buy myself some shirts long enough to cover this belly ... and lots of skirts and dresses - anticipating the hot summer! I even have a brand new maternity baithing suit for our family trip to Cornado Island next week! Your Uncle Casey is coming home on Friday and we are all going to welcome him home!

You have been busy this week ... you can now hear sounds - so I talk to you all the time ... and we sing when nobody else can hear - mostly on my loooong commute to and from work! it helps me to not fall asleep - because boy am I tired after work! We went to the doctor today and your perfect sounding heart is beating at 158 beats per minute now! We are both very healthy and go back in 4 weeks for the most exciting appointment yet! I actually get to see you again - fully formed in all your perfection ... and find out your gender! I think I may go on a crazy decorating spree because I can barely contain myself now from buying you things ... but I have been good and so far have only purchased some cream to hopefully help keep your current home free of stretch marks! :)

This week your daddy had a birthday! He says he is now 33 with 10 years of experience! We are going to celebrate all weekend - today with my family at the Cheesecake Factory and tomorrow with his family at On the Border! I gave him a new Canon Rebel camera that he is going to start practicing with so when you arrive he will be a pro and we will more than likely annoy you with the camera in your face day and night ... but you will still love us, I just know it!

Cant wait to see you! Keep growing strong in there ... Im doing my best to make sure you stay comfy!

Week 14!

Hello sweet baby,

You are the size of a lemon this week, but certainly not as sour! I am happy to announce that I felt great the entire week! I had energy, was not sick, and kept my eyes open through the days with no naps! We baught your daddy a new truck this week - he is really excited - it has way more room in it to carry you around! We are now equipped with cars that are safe enough for you! Next on the list of things for you will be planning your room! I am so excited about it, but want to wait until we find out if you are a little boy or girl of course! I have some ideas for both! We are also brainstorming names for you ... wow, what a big task! I hope you end up loving what we come up with!

This week you have turned my belly into a trampoline - leaping and bounding all around with smooth fluid movements. I cant feel you yet, but look forward to the day! You are standing up straight and your neck is growing longer! You are also growing hair, surely to be dark brown and lots of it based on your parents! You have little eyebrows as well! I cant wait to see if its straight or curly, dark or light, thick or thin! Such a big mystery being formed inside me!

This weekend is your Uncle Casey's birthday! He is in the Navy out at sea right now, but we will celebrate when he comes home at the end of the month.

Other good news this week, our sponsor child Saraphina Gideon in Haiti has been found with her family and she is alive and well. Praise God for this miracle. After the earthquake hit, it was weeks before they could sort through all the people before reporting back the status of our sweet Saraphina. She lost her home, but material things are easily rebuilt and hopefully on a solid foundation of Christ. We are praying for her daily that she and her family see this tragedy as an opportunity to draw even closer to our Lord.

Your cousin Sofia is so excited to meet you - she asks about you every time I see her and wants to know each time when you will be here! She just has to wait through the long, hot summer and then you will arrive. We cant wait!

Peach and a Heartbeat!!

Hi angel,

How are you doing? I am doing GREAT! I feel really good today, somewhat like my old self again (with a bigger belly)! This past week was a good one for me, I was not sick much, able to get up and go everyday ... and best of all, Wednesday, February 24, 2010 I was able to hear the heavenly sound of your sweet little heart beating at 167 beats per minute! WOW, I have never been that amazed by sound! My 13 week doctors checkup went really well, I gained a whole 2 lbs since our last visit - and you my dear are only about an ounce of that! You are about 3 inches in length (as long as a peach - my favorite fruit!) and you have vocal cords now! I cant wait to hear the sweet sound of your little cries and coos! Also changing this week, your intenstines are fully formed and moving from the umbilical cord into your body for their permanent placement. I was a little disappointed at the doctors office - I thought I would get to see you, but apparently I dont get another visual until somewhere around 20 or so weeks! I will get to hear your heartbeat every four weeks when I go in to checkup on you ... but I cant wait to see how much you have grown and developed over this short amount of time.

I am certain your daddy is rejoicing this week with me feeling better, the doctor says it should stay this way now that I am moving into the second trimester! I was able to cook dinner and even managed to get enough energy to go on a crazy house-cleaning marathon. I cleaned the whole house Saturday afternoon and spent a little time in your soon-to-be room just brainstorming on how I am going to transform it into a nursery once I find out your gender. Will it be pink or blue? Most people are saying you are a girl at this point because of your fast little heartbeat ... but I will not make any assumptions until the doctor confirms it! Either way, I am going to be overjoyed!

Week 12 - the longest week yet!

Plum! Not only one of my favorite colors, but your fruit size of the week! Head to rump that makes you 2 1/2 inches long! Whoa! How you have grown! You are now moving into maintenance phase as most of your systems are now fully formed. I am in awe just thinking out God's great hand in this blessing. How could anyone NOT believe in God, especially when they have gone through creation of another life. Nothing of this world is capable in 12 short weeks of creating such a complex, amazing blessing. Your digestive system is beginning to practice moving food through your tiny little body and you pituitary glands are starting to produce hormones (mine are off the charts this week). Bone marrow is starting to make white blood cells that will someday help you fight off infection. You are getting bigger and stronger each day and it amazes me to even wrap my head around that.

As for the rest of us, work started off good this week, I was feeling great - Daddy and I had a relaxing Valentine's Day, enjoying the thought of next Valentine's you will be with us! Wednesday morning your Great Grandma Nudo had some pains in her chest so Nanie had to take her to the hospital to get checked out. I was nominated to stay home and watch your little cousin Eva, who apparently was given too much fruit juice by an inexperienced mother (me) - so she pooped 3 times! Practice will make perfect! We had a fun day watching lots of Blues Clues, eating multiple times and taking naps. Grandma Nudo rested all day in the hospital and all of her tests came back clear - she had a stress test the following day and she was doing very well, so the doctors monitored her until Friday and then sent her back home. She is 94 years old and very strong. I on the other hand, came down with a stomach bug on Thursday night, and boy were you mad about it! My belly rumbled and grew to sizes I dont even want to speak of and I spent the majority of the night hugging the toilet. I could not even keep down crackers or water! Little one, mama has not been that sick in a long time, but I sure hope through all of it, you stayed comfy and slept well. Friday I had to call in sick to work and your Knight in Shining Armour of a Daddy took great care of us. He went to the store at least 3 times, medicine, gatorade, popsicles, soup ... anything and everything I needed, he was there anticipating my every need. He sure does love us lots! Luckily I did not get him sick, he just got better from a sinus infection from last week. We spent Friday and Saturday in bed relaxing. Today we went to church, I have been taking good notes on every service you have attended since you were 5 weeks old (thats when I found out you were coming with us to church)! I hope someday you will read through them and get the same message from Pastor Warren that I did - he sure does know how to make all of his sermons seem like they were written just for me! I cant wait to take you there in person so you can meet him and all of our other church family! They are getting pretty excited about meeting you! This Wednesday we go back to the doctor for our 13 week checkup! I am so excited that this time, I will be able to see your body formed, your fingers and toes and even your eyelids - but most of all I am excited to hear the sound of your strong little heart telling Mommy and Daddy you are ok. I sure love you little one and I promise I will do all I can to keep that stomach bug away from us forever, I know it was not fun at all!

Week 11!

Thats right, you have grown to over 2 inches long, the majority of you is made up of a large head, but I am certain you will grow into it over the next few months. You are starting to get hair follicles, fingernails and toenails this week and how exciting is this - you can straighten out your torso by stretching, somersaults and forward rolls. I still cant feel you in there, but from the outside, I can tell - my pants fit a little more snug as the did before - but I dont mind at all! This week you also formed testicles or ovaries - but we dont get to find out which one for another 9 weeks! Im really excited about that - I cant wait to start putting together your room!

For us this week has been an interesting one. The groundhog did not see its shadow, and we ended up getting record breaking snowfall in Dallas. Over 9 inches! I (mommy) was born in Niagara Falls, so I am pretty familiar with all the snowfall - but havent seen it like this in years! I bet your Daddy hasnt seen this much snow his entire life, at least not in Texas! Daddy has been sick all week with a sore throat, so as mean as it sounds, I am trying to stay away from him so I dont get sick. So far so good. It is also the anniversary of your Grandpa Edge's passing 19 years ago - Feb 10 and his birthday - Feb 11, he would have been 77 this year. I never had the pleasure of meeting him - but Im sure your daddy will tell you all about him. From what I have heard, he was an amazing man, incredibly smart, and loved your daddy with all his heart. He misses him very much, especially this year since he is a daddy now himself. Your GiGi is doing good this week though, considering. She has had some issues with her back, resulting in surgery. She has been in a lot of pain for years - but the surgery was a success and she is now feeling much better. She is able to walk around with little discomfort now - so she will be strong and ready to chase you around when you get here.

Week 10

Hello my little angel,

You are the size of a PRUNE this week! I wish I could see you - apparently you have taken the shape of a little person now, equipped with bones, cartiledge - small indentions on your little legs preparing for your knees and ankles and your tiny little arms have elbows now! You have fully functioning kindneys and OH MY if you are a boy - you are producing testosterone this week!

As for me, this week has been a good one. I have felt pretty good everyday, but today is Thursday and I ended up working from home because you just did not want me to get out of bed. I thought we made it through the nausea stage, but I can deal with it if it means you are healthy and just letting me know you are around :). Speaking of round - my belly is starting to change a little now - your dad likes to rub on it lots!

We go to the doctor again on February 24th to see you again. I cant wait!

The Edge's are Multiplying!

I started this blog a couple weeks ago when we found out some life-changing, exciting news! Now we are ready to share it with you all and ask for your prayers as we move through this journey!!

January 8th

Dear Sweet Pea (thats how big you are this week),

We found out on January 5th that I am pregnant. This was a HUGE surprise to me, because over the last 8 months I have been suffering from ovarian cysts and this last month, it was very big. I did not think this would be the month, so I honestly had no idea when I went into the doctor for my monthly blood draw prior to setting up my sonogram to see the status of my cyst. Instead of the typical bad new call, this time, Julie and the doctors office called and asked me to sit down. She said "You are pregnant girl" and I made her repeat herself 3 times! Oh happy day! I am at a loss for words trying to explain how excited I am to meet you in 9 months. You have been letting me know recently that you are here ... I am pretty queasy every time I eat, I have lost my memory and I wake up at 4 am everyday with a racing mind and overly excited heart. I know you are my little blessing from God - he waited until there were no outside factors impacting my body, and when I least expected it, he sent us the best gift anyone could ever receive. I am almost 6 weeks along now, and I get to hear your little heartbeat on January 26th. I can not wait. Last night we told Nannie and Papa you were coming - I wrapped up a positive test and said it was a late Christmas present. They are so excited! We are going to tell Granny today - its her birthday party! She is going to be exstatic! I promise you, Daddy and I will do our very best to learn everything about being parents and we are so excited to meet you, raise you, teach you about Jesus and give our lives to making you happy and healthy.

January 26th

Hello my little green olive :) (obviously your size this week)!

You have made it through blueberry and raspberry size and are weighing in at a healthy size of a large green olive this week! The family and some of our close friends have celebrated with us that you will be making your appearance in early September. Everyone is so excited - but nothing compared to me and your Daddy! Yesterday was an amazing day for us! We went to the doctor and saw your itty bitty heart beating at a strong 122 beats per minute. The doctor says you are only 7 weeks 1 day old ... I say she is wrong and you are just a tiny 8 week 5 day angel. We will see which one of us is right soon enough! (put your money on mama!) What a sigh of relief to know that you are healthy and strong! I have been stressing about it a little (which I know I shouldnt be, but its hard not to - someday you will understand). So the word is out on the street now - you are only .9 of an inch, but sure making your presence known - to me at least - and if you ask your dad ... he can tell things are different now too! He has been such a good sport, up at every request for when I am hungry - which is often. Not too many cravings right now, other than bland food and the occassional need for boneless buffalo wings! Chocolate covered pretzels and dried apricots are also on the list. He talks to you and kisses you goodnight everyday - and he has truly shown me how much he loves us over the last couple weeks. I knew he loved me, but BOY oh BOY are you lucky because he loves me even more because you are with me! Last week I turned 31 and could not ask for a better gift than you! and only ONE you!!!

I love you and cant wait to see your precious little face in 4 weeks, until then, take it easy on me!

P.S. Daddy loves you too, but I bet you already know that!
